I’m a total beginner - what class should I start with?

If you don’t have any recent injuries or osteoporosis, you’re welcome to join any of our classes - no prior experience needed.

We don’t have specific beginner, intermediate or advanced classes; instead we teach in layers. Each exercise starts with a version that everyone in the room can do, and then we offer optional progressions to make it more challenging. It’s always your choice whether you stay with the first layer or build things up. If it’s your very first class, sticking with the basics is a win. On other days, you might feel ready to challenge yourself a bit more - both are absolutely fine.

Even many of our long-term members choose the easier option some days, especially if they’ve had a poor night’s sleep or a stressful day at work. We encourage you not to compare yourself to others and to always do what feels right for your body.

We love having a mix of total beginners and more experienced members in the room - it creates a supportive, encouraging atmosphere and a community that genuinely wants everyone to feel confident, capable, and welcome.

What is the difference between your 5 types of classes?

What should I bring with me?

Please bring socks to wear in class. We sell grip socks in the studios if you prefer. We have water stations in each of the studios, but it’s recommended that you bring a bottle if you’d like to keep your water close during your workout.

How often should I come to Pilates?

Accepted Answer

You’re welcome to come as often as you like. Most clients notice the greatest progress when they attend twice a week or more, as regular practice helps build strength, confidence, and consistency in movement.

That said, once a week can still make a meaningful difference - it may just take a little longer to reach your goals. As with most things, consistency is key, and finding a rhythm that fits your life is what matters most.
